OUt of those 3 time slots I'd avoid the saturday night event, the car show/ concert/ drag events are just a mess. Lots of dumb kids, slow cars, stupid music etc. I might head out in the afternoon to watch or make a run or two before the meet if anybody else is going to be out there. I didnt want to organize the meet to be out there because I thought we'd have a better turn out at something that is free.

I agree with Ryan...the Saturday nite races are geared towards the ricer crowd. Maybe a bunch of us can agree to go out to SpeedWorld for the Sunday challenge rather than just before our meet. That would be fun to have a bunch of Mavericks show up at the track. :drive:

Tucson is about 135 miles from where the meet up is going to be. I won't have a car to go to the track since my track car will be parked in Tucson at the track.:)

I am up in Surprise myself Bryant. I can certainly help you get the tools and radials out there. I'm always up for a trip to Speedworld as it's only about 10 minutes from my house.

If you are asking about the racing, then yes. See Ryans quote above. The Desert Maverick meet costs nothing. :)

as we approach feb i went back to see if any more people had confirmed to attend. 20 Yes. i was wondering of the 20 how many where bringing there cars. mine wont be ready. but if 19 mavericks are going to show up i think we should get a good quality camera and do so smokin shots to submit to a magazine. not only that but as i have looked through the archives on this site, i have never seen that many maverick/comets gathered anywhere. this has GOT to be BIG!
