When I checked the weather report 3 months ago it said that Feb. 19th will be 70 degrees, clear skies and slight breaze. I have faith that this prediction will hold up. And a "Large time will be had by all"

I'll drive my car in the rain I don't care. If somebody hits me then the drivetrain will survive, and I have a whole other set of sheet metal for it except doors and quarters so please hit me from the front whoever you end up being. It will give me a reason to repaint the car and do a small bumper swap.

Got my intercooler yesterday (finally the right one) and the pump is supposed to be here today. I let the family know that the car gets worked on this weekend (and nobody elses car). So it will either run or be drug to the meet. I will be there...now if it rains, all bets are off. Much like Gene I have huge openings for the intercooler and pipes under the cowl. I cannot afford to fix the stuff that will go wrong in the rain, so we will see. I'm going to keep a positive attitude. After all, when was the last time it rained around here?!?

No sweat Ryan. I've been there. Thankfully my kids are grown (of course now I have to help them keep their cars running) and work is just one job. I'm working on the Maverick every night and the wife is starting to feel ignored. But the interior is all back in. I'm probably going to skip the intercooler for now since I just don't have time to fab all the stuff for that. I'm still fighting a brake line leak that is driving me nuts. But the biggest holdup has been that stupid leaking fuel pump. It arrived yesterday when I went out for lunch, but UPS required a signature and didn't leave it. So needless to say, I'm not leaving the house today until it shows up. Like I said, I will be there one way or another. Let's not scare everyone off with threats of rain.

This sounds exactly like my situation LOL, but I did find that a promise to go to the big 4 show and spend that whole weekend in Cali eased it up some. Not my wallet though:hmmm:

    The pump

    is here.

I will now go back into my mancave to work once again.

Oh, and I am trying to get the wife involved by having her make a cover for my turbo inlet.

Finally had a couple hours to spend on the car. Got the outside done, wash, wax, and wheels and tires done. Gotta find another couple hours to vacuum and wipe down the inside. Probably wont have time to replace my kick panels with my newly acquired black ones or paint my headlight bezels black, although i kind of like the look of the black grill with the silver bezels. Will have to get opinions on that at the meet on if I should paint them black like a grabber or leave them silver.

Oh the best part of the day was, ........... It started. Don did a great job on welding my battery for me :thumbs2:

just seen on the boob tube that the weather for tucson on sat is a 20% chance of rain. also said that a high pressure system could keep that well to the north. hope it keeps it out of the state all together.

thats something no one ever says down here in tucson!

I spent 10 hours on the car yesterday gearing up with another cup of coffee to get back at it.

Need to install fuel pump, ignition wiring, alternator wiring, and set floats on carb, and give it a shot and see if this beast fires up.

I do need one part though, anyone locally have a front left side marker lense? I have all the mounting stuff and lense holder just need the yellow lense.

Also Rick opened up the grill I bought from you oh 6 months or so ago, looks great! Hey told you I would let you know when I looked at it LOL.
