Well boys have a good show. Take some pictures and post them for us. My son and the Maverick are in Ohio and I am out of country. Too bad - it would be a good show to be at. Enjoy.
Dave, Didn''t know you were working in the area. I live 3 miles from the Petro truck stop. I'm only 1/2 block off of Sunland Gin Rd. I might even have to bring my 71 Grabber if we do another event at Speedworld in the Fall. I keep it in Tucson at the track. Went to Tucson this afternoon and picked up new slicks and a new fuel pump at Don's Hot Rod Shop.
I think your talking to me (Adam), I go to the Petro every morning for my coffee. My office is on the north side of Jimmy Kerr on Sunland Gin RD. Them big piles there and where all the trucks are running back and forth there I worked out of that pit about 2 or 4 years ago as well for about a year for the railroad project.
Tony brought up a good point, out of town guys make sure you have someones contact phone number just in case running late, need some help, plans get screwed over from weather or just all around incase something happens. Just incase never know Awfully quiet today everyone must be working on cars for saturday
My phone number is on the Evite for those of you that may need it. No matter what the weather may be I will be there. Its either that or stay at home with the in-laws and my sister in-laws baby shower. I'd rather hang out in the rain and talk mavericks
I got some time tonight, I will do a quick clean up on the front garage incase it rains we atleast have a spot to hang out and shoot the **** with a roof over our heads and some chairs. If I can't get to it tonight I'm sure Rick wouldn't mind lending a hand in the morning if need be to set something up.
I'm thinking that someone should just bring an easy up to the parking lot. I don't have one mind you, but it's a good idea just in case!
so to just be clear we are still planning on meeting at; 8278 West Lake Pleasant Peoria, AZ 85382 correct?
Sorry about that Adam. Getting old I guess. I go by there all the time. Man, it's been a busy week. I haven't got the trailer finished yet, but it is usable. Ruth's been in Denver all week. Coming back tonight but staying in Tucson as she is working at the track tomorrow. Hopefully she'll get out of there early enough to make it up there with me. This has been the busiest week in a few years at work. 11 hours today for a part time job. Haven't got much done at all. I did get my new slicks and fuel pump. And had the slicks mounted at Big O in Casa grande today. They do it for free for me. Supposed to do a mission with the Patriot Guard Riders in the morning. Hopefully the weather will hold for the weekend. I plan on going to the track to work on the car on Sunday to get it ready for the next weekend. See you guys tomorrow. :bananaman
I have an easy up and will bring it along. i am also bringing my own personal fold up chair. that should be a must bring. by the way as i was catching up on todays post my wife suggested that i bring my easy up for a shelter in case some of us "candy a$$'s want out of the rain" her words. she cant belive that we might cancel this event on a little bit of rain. see you all at the meet! BRING ON THE MAVERICKS!!!!!!!!
well i know its a little early but im about to head to phx for the meet. i have about a 2 hour drive and when we get there were going to hit the 2 wrecking yardvs on 27 ave i think they are ecology and i dont know the other one. get a few little parts for a couple different projects and then ill meet everyone at sardelas for pizza!
Well, sorry to miss you all. Have a great meet and post up some pictures. We will have to make a future one. The car is close, headlight buckets and door panels would at least get it drivable, but my daughter was injured (mild concussion) in the basketball came this week so we are staying close to home. But, it would be fun, we will make one of them one day, so keep them up. We were able to stop in (without the car) at a gathering in Joplin Missouri a couple of years ago and it was a great time. neat to see all those cars at one time. Thanks again and enjoy! Farmall in New Mexico
Sorry you won't make it Don. Hope your daughter is feeling better. Best to stay where you can watch her for a while. I'm sure there will be a next time for us all. Not sure what the weather is going to be like this afternoon, but we'll be there to meet everyone that shows up anyway. Looking forward to meeting some new people and putting faces to the messages.
