Actually that money is going towards vehicle registration :( My 2010 Focus tags are due in April as well as my wifes 04 trailblazer. the Focus is just under $300 for tags. I hate the cost of new car registration. I thought I was making extra money for car projects, until I got home and wife told me about our tags being due.

A co-worker here just told me he saw a pretty healthy early white Maverick up in Prescott Valley this weekend. It was leaving a storage lot. Anybody know somebody up there?

It's always good to have someone that's got your back in that situation Ryan. I was there on Sunday, but wasn't able to make it out for Saturday. I had to pick up the Dodge. I missed the air show this weekend as well. Did a lot around the house and my sons house (pulled out a tree stump and rototilled a yard, much to my allergies delight). Even went paintballing at Speedworld at one point. (Don't let anyone tell you that it doesn't hurt to get hit by a paintball either!)

Got my tank out of the Maverick and my buddy is working on it. We will see how that turns out. Any how, making progress on this end.

I was at SIR in Tucson Friday and Saturday. Went out second round. Broke out by .006. Headed back there Wednesday for the weekend again.:)

The Desert Mavericks Central cruise is coming up on two weeks guys! Are you all ready? I know that I'm going to jinx it, but the weather looks good right now...so I'm crossing my fingers! My fuel tank for the Maverick is done again, but I'm rebuilding the carb on the truck (tow vehicle) and replacing the motor mounts. I expect to have that done this week. I need to give the Maverick a bath and bleed the brakes (still! I can't seem to get my family to help me with that part). I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting excited again! It seems like two months between meets works pretty well. What do you think?

I'll have to fill up with gas before the cruise. But I think I should have that done in time.

Maybe Gene, Robbie, and I can cruise to the cruise from the westside.

Hoping to work on the maverick this weekend :) Got all the parts I need I think, just a matter of installing them again LOL

I spent numerous trips back and forth getting my mustang through emmisions, took up way to much time :(

take off offraod pipe, install factory cat pipe, install new 2.5 flowtubes, try to go through emmisions........

1 wasted trip cause it dumped before the axles and the could not seem to get there sniffer on it this time (same exhaust dump point as LAST time it went through emmisions)

Had to put my 3 inch flowmaster tail pipes on (not a fun task being there for a fox body and the car is lowered a couple inches)

    next

1 failed test on HC by overlimit 0.08
1 failed test on HC by overlimit 0.02

    then finally passed HC

    I HATE emmisions testing :(

Tony if you need help bleeding the brakes let me know I can swing over there for a few minutes and give you a hand.

where I live there is no emissions :dancing:... although when I lived in mesa it took me 7 tries to pass, ended up going to a shop called "Guaranteed to Pass" and they got me through, they retuned the car abit that made it run like crap and hot but it passed good thing they didn't have to do the under hood inspection :49:.
I just got my monte carlo bar installed, my car must have been tweeked a little because it didn't just drop in, took a couple hours to install.
I was thinking of going by a salvage yard or two today but I don't know if that will happen, I was going to see about picking up a mini starter (90's 5.0) I have a torque master starter but when it's cold in the mornings it'll spin but not engage the flywheel till I let the key go than it'll engage on the winddown than when I turn the key again it'll turn-over, I was also going to see about a explorer disc e-brake cable I'm collecting parts to convert to a transtunnel lever I got the lever and one cable now I need to find another of the same cable... I just hope there will be enough room between the driveshaft and the floor above it to run two cables side by side.

Make sure you check your lug nuts too...don't want your wheels to fall off!! You should have time for that I would think..:biglaugh:

Robbie and I will both be racing at Speedworld that Saturday for the Northern Arizona Shootout drags...it's a great program and we have both won our class several times. I can't speak for Robbie, but I will be coming straight from the track to the cruise...not sure what time I will get there...depends on how many rounds I go!! Hopefully to the finals!

This race runs quite well and should be over by 5pm hopefully.

Sounds like a full day of fun.

Side note: Since Gene informed me I need to check my lug nuts I will not be able to make this meet. I don't have time to do that and get gas. I think Tonys procrastination and slow perfectionist work has rubbed off on me. :rofl2:

If you want to swing by this weekend to help with the brakes that would be great! I'm running out tonight to pick up my fuel tank. I'm also hoping to get a fuel diverter valve for the truck as well ( I ran out of gas today and all the fuel in the second tank will do me no good if you cannot get to it).

If you go out early Gene (usually you don't but just in case) take my number with you. We could have a late lunch and head out together. I'm planning on leaving the house around 2.

Can we assume Ryan that you won't be rowing through the gears on the 9th?

I think that I'm going to hit some wrecking yards for old Dodge parts this weekend for something to do once I get a few things done.

Looks like Ryan won't be making it at all...he can't put in gas and check his lug nuts before that day...it's gotta be tough...:rofl2:
