No worries there was probably 5 people to every 1 car at the last meet. Come sit around shoot the bull, bring you friend the more people the better Also have your friend come sign up on the board, and add himself to the loacation.........It will continue our push to take over the Maverick/Comet capital!
I wish I was able to do more with my car for this meet... the only things I've done is fix my detonation issue, and install a Monte Carlo Bar... Still can't find valances or valances and bumpers to convert (I don't even know what would be a fair price to look out for) although I did find a 1973 4 door maverick sitting in someones backyard here in maricopa but they haven't got back to me if they are willing to sell those parts off it. I'm looking forward to this meet, this'll be my first time at the cruise on central.
Me too...although I used to cruise Central back in the day with my first Maverick...got a ticket or two as well...fun days.
David if the front bumper on that 73 is really clean and stright and you don't get it for your swap let me know. I'm always looking for a better 73 front bumper then what I got. And even better if it dons't have the bumper guards. Don't know why you would want to swap to 73 front bumper though. ya its better than the 74 but not worth the work. But the rear would be good to get for you.
David find me a fiberglass front bumper and you can have my front and rear bumpers I think I have an extra set of quarter extensions too that I will trade you for your stock automatic pedal assembly
After seeing Tony's garage, I can't imagine whats in the backyard. The garage is like a Where's Waldo game.
Tony was kind enough to unload some of that stuff into the back of my car, and in doing so we found Waldo. Starved, and thirsty but still alive! I got no room to talk I got 2 garages that look like that, I park the cars outside LOL Tony I will take you up on them pedals if there no good to you, I just want to swap mine back out and let someone who needs/wants a factory clutch pedal setup get them.
Ryan; The local guy with the maverick still hasen't got in contact with me so I don't plan on holding my breath on the matter. I wasn't planning on using the front bumper, I was hoping for the rear bumper and the front/rear valances, I talked to the owners son who happened to be outside when I drove by to check on it, I gave him my phone number and asked him let his dad know I was interested. Adam; I know of a couple venders that sells them... Does that count? or would I need it in hand? I would like to trade for those quarter extensions, my auto pedal assembly went from the car to the garage when I converted to the manual.
