1 With 3 a real close second. I am old so I have a tendancy toward the old scool look, but if it is clean and not over done and the owner likes it , it is good.

You forgot 1 style....the 70's look (at least seems that way to me). So many Maverick owners go with sidepipes, reversed rear wheels, rear jacked up, silly hood scoops, cheap parts store accessories..etc. Not but cup of tea but many end up with that look.

I prefer 1...body and interior mostly stock with maybe some nice factory wheels or even some 15" aftermarkets like Torq Thrusts. Maybe some engine mods but looking generally stock under the hood.

But if I land a second Maverick, I'd like to subtile mods like change the taillights and some polished 17" Torq Thrusts or Mustang Bullitt style wheels. There is a member here who has an orange Maverick that has 67 Shelby looking taillights...the one with the inboard mounted back up lamps on the valance...that's the way I'd like a second Maverick to look.

X2. :thumbs2: Dead on statement. Restomods and upgrades are a slippery slope. Thank god I didn't have the Maverick about 8 years ago. With the way I thought about cars and upgrades and stuff then I shudder to think how far I would have went...

I like subtle...I like the muscle look (I voted #1) Restomods are cool when done well.
But, "in da weeds" is where thes cars shouldnt be. Ultimately...You gotta do what makes you happy and nevermind what others want/think.

none of thse styles really. I prefer a hotrod motor but don't like the jacked up rearend or big wheels. I prefer the drag car look

Yeah, I agree you gotta do to your car what makes ya happy. and that pretty much anything done to a mav/comet is better than it just sittin in the weeds or rustin at a junk yard.. But if I ever seen a mav/comet like the one in the "style 2" picture or being powerd by a chevy engine I wouldnt be to friendly with the owner. haha.
I myself like Style 1, a car that just screams the oldschool muscle look is what I'm wanting to accomplish with my Mav, yet with upgraded brakes, a rack and pinion, spension, etc.
I'm wishing I woulda put up a "style 4" being the original looking and/or stock looking sleeper style, and a "style 5" being a full out drag/strip car. but too late for that now I guess.

I definetly like style #1. The look of the 70's type drag cars. A slight rake in the back and 70's style mage wheels. I'm "old school". That is the look I am going after with my 70 2-dr. Maverick

I vote #1 to the extreme. Mine will gradually be Pro Street with an occasional foray to the strip.

I know what you guys mean by the drag look. Here is a pic of the way my Mav looked at one time. Granted it only had a 200 straight 6 then, but I still like the look...but maybe a stroker and a stick shift.
