Hey KILLER job I see some pretty trick suspension on that MAV looks like late model 5.0 mustang kinda so what cha got how about some pics!!!!!!!
Erick that is absolutely awesome! I was wondering the same thing if anyone else was Procharging a Mav. See link below to mine. Not finished yet but coming along. Please keep the updates coming. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?p=589088&posted=1#post589088
Thanks everybody! Mike, yours looks really awesome. How is it coming along? Are you ready to run it? I'm suprised I missed that thread. Here's a pic of the suspension. It is an AJE kit that they make for a Maverick. It uses Mustang fox body spindles and struts, along with a K-member that bolts to the frame where the belly bar normally goes. There's a few threads about it on here. It is a really nice front suspension and light. As far as ET at the track, I'm hoping for high 8's in the quarter eventually, but the class I will run requires a 28x9 DOT slick, which will be real hard to hook up. I can't wait to start it up, its gonna be a beast.
Yeah, you can shave a lot of the tower and engine mount off. You can order it from here: http://www.ajeracing.com/64-70Mustang.php but ask for the Maverick kit. There's some options too, which makes the complete setup kind of pricey, but it shaves almost 100 pounds off the front end!
Thanks Erick! Pretty much just a lot of plumbing left, fuel system, transmission lines, etc.. I am hoping it will be ready for Dyno Tunning in another month or so. I love the front suspension you are using. Your projected ET of 8's will be awesome. I am shooting for a 10 second car. I will run Drag Radials. Good luck & keep us posted.
