    actually it was a three on the tree but my friend cut a hole in the hump for a 4-speed. i plan on finding a desent hump to cut out of a parts car and reweld back in my since i am running a automatic with a hurst promatic floor shift that i bought at the super ford meet.

    Well....now that I think about it.....that could be the case. I saw the wiring harness coming thru the firewall for the neutral safety switch and assumed it was for an automatic. Could also be used for the reverse lights, etc on a 3-speed manual.

    Kinda weird, that the hood hinges are painted Purple?? being it's a 71....
    Either way, I'd love to see the body buck tag, and a Marti Report for the car.

    dave what is a body buck tag. there are some tags on the front by the radiator
    and one says solid purple with some numbers.also i plan on getting a marti report soon.as far as the hindges i dont think my friend had them painted to match i think they are original.he never worried about looks it was all about going fast at the strip.
    im just as eager to find things out as every one else is.

    The hinges on my 1974 LDO were painted body color at the factory.

    Yeah, but that was a 74, not a 72. 74 seemed to be the change, 73 and older usually have phosphate and oil on the hinges.

    this summer i will focus on the mechanicals and next year the cosmetics.
