Really...does a u-turn in an exhaust pipe cause resistance in air flow?

    so,,, if you would loop a intake hose the same as your exhaust routing, oughta equeal all out!!!
    side note, keep fuel line straight as pie
    i gotta go,,,

    Funny...A bullet would come right out the pipe or dent it. Exhaust gas doesn't do any of the above. Nor does my water in the hose. I don't see any bulges at the curves, suggesting that the water is trying to bust out in one spot or another.

    Talking gases and liquids, not solids. Gases against solids act differently than solids against solids. Hence, dimples in golf balls.

    WHY?

    There, I asked it. You happy now? :D

    So what's carbon? :hmmm::huh: :D
    jk... I know what your asking, I'm just tossing brain farts to see if any of it can make sense as to why.. lol

    When I mentioned the bullet I was thinking about what it would do.. It would hit the curve then bounce around as it kept traveling through.. Therefore, would the air "bounce"? :huh:..

    Yeah, I got you gene. That Carbon Dioxide is some HARD stuff!!! My wife sneezed toward me and shot millions of Carbon atoms at me last weekend. I have a knot in the side of my head that wont quit! :bananaman

    Yes, I actually think the air would bounce. But hopefully in a way that would minimize the drone!

    Keep your brain farts to yourself, or at least blame them on your dog! ;)

    honestly, this it the type of conversation I was hoping to elicit with this question. So keep it coming.

    hopefully, not just a laugh, but also something to think about. I lay awake at nights thinking about crap like this. Part of the reason why i enjoy working on the maverick and testing out changes I make to it.

    Like, what makes the ping sound in the exhaust? I have heard some ping .. I remember mine kinda does.. Could it be that bullet? lol
    I am thinking that maybe it affects the sound and very little resistance..

    I agree.

    I think at the amounts of pressure and flow we are dealing with, sound is all that will be affected.
