    Goes without saying, but if you're buying a used car from a private party, there is no warranty. One needs to do a good inspection prior to buying the vehicle. If you can't/don't know how to do the inspection, take it in and have somebody look at it before you buy it.

    I'm as honest as I can be with a buyer just because that's the way I would want to be treated. Not everybody is like that. Ultimately, it's up to the buyer to do his homework and if he doesn't, it's on him. If a buyer came back to me after the fact and said the car had problems, I would wish him well on fixing the issue and send him on his way. All sales are final, no warranty, no returns, no buybacks, no BS.
