I'd take a picture of mine, but there isn't much of it left. That and a new tail panel would be great.

Yep. I'd put a Maverick panel on my Comet no prob, then I could use a wider selection of custom taillamps. Bobcat, Impala, Cougar, whatever. Even VW bus bezels for a euro-style amber turn lamp option, the choices are much better than trying to fit something different to the Comet panel. But mostly, I'd buy the fender apron and battery tray mount.

yeah, i did the test and about 3/4 drained like it should, while the other 1/4 made its way onto my floors.

theres a nice hole forming on the drivers side floor , big enough to fit about 3 fingers in right now.
but it looks like the previous owner already patched the passenger floor but if it keeps leakin g like it does, even that patch will be null.

EDIT: thanks for the welcome btw!

if you pull the dash someone whos good at metal work should be able to weld up the holes.

not the vent holes, tthe holes behind your dash down in the vent where the water has rusted through

just the actuall rotted areas, not the factory vent holes

    oh, duhh.

would it be too out of line to use the rustbullet and fiberglass method to patch up the holes?

Welcome aboard thelgfaud. It's gonna be a pretty big job to repair the cowl but there are a couple of ways to go about it. From the top...or from the bottom. Either way is no fun but will work just fine. Some of the guys take the top off the cowl and repair the sheetmetal that way which makes it the most accessible but an awful lot of work. I think it's actually easier to unbolt the entire dash from the inside and go at it that way. Either way you go, the windshield will need to come out for access. Once the dash is out of the way you can cut out any bad portion and replace it and seal it up very nicely. You also don't have to get involved in any paint work just in case you have good paint already. Good luck with it!
