I was hopeing that if it is someone here that they can see someone has noticed. I would be willing to help however I can if they needed it. As for the vultures. I think some are just having wishful thinking and/or hopes of salvaging the car or parts before it gets hauled off and never seen again.. It did seem to have some decent parts on it.. My pic doesn't do it justice.
I have not been an MCCI member very long. I was also kinda hopeing a member might recognize it.. Doug! Where are you?!
As far as Doug....Better email him....he is not on here much anymore. As far as recognizing the car, I did not recognize it. I have seen way to many members cars to recognize them all. If it would have had fender skirts...I might have recognized it.
It was still there today.. I saw an orange sticker on it. I couldn't stop because I was in a hurry and was pulling my trailer.
call the local tow yards obviously the owner either went to jail or doesnt plan to come back for the car. a scandalous way to know who tows the car is to call a tow company to tow the car as if its yours and send them to a wrong address theyll have no choice but to tow it back to there yard and store it. they will immediately file a lien on it for towing and storage and in as little as 30 days (here in california anyway) it can be sold if its an abandoned vehicle that hasnt been registered in years it can be sold in as little as 3 days. I bought an old truck and the same day it was delivered to my apt (had it parked on the street so it wouldnt get towed by the apts lol) the city towed it off and a week later I saw it in picknpull I didnt bother to call to find out where it went since I already knew the drill and didnt have any money to get it back
Might be better just to leave a note under a wiper blade expressing interest in what happens with the vehicle...
Is there any way the MCCI state rep would know who's car it is and possibly contact them. It seems weird for anyone to leave a car on the side of the road THAT long. It has some unique identifying items (sun roof, and what appears to be white interior). Even the VIN may lead to an owner here (very doubful, but ya never know). Hopefully it doesn't end-up in Maverick purgatory.
Hey Gene, what town or city was it close to? Gainsville maybe? Does TX have counties listed on the tags?
Assuming the owner filled out ALL of the information on his/her MCCI membership registration sheet, Gene could theoretically get the VIN, pass it onto MCCI Brass and they would hopefully have contact info for the owner and maybe be able to let them know that their car is most likely headed to an impound yard. If it's been tagged by the authorities already, then I assume it wasn't stolen, or at least reported stolen. The vultures are circling...
