I checked on the ford six power site, but couldn't find any headers for sale and AZ coupe's website wouldn't let me on. Anyway, I posted a Want ad on the parts site and listed my 3x1 intake as well. The 3x1 is for a round log so I can't use it on the 250.

    Anyone need it here? $125

A hot 6 is always cool!

It's your money, man. I have a fresh 302 in my car. I really love it! Man do I love it! :bananaman But...... A hot 6 would be way cool. Someone said that for the same amount of money you could get way more power out of the V-8. This is true, but a hot 6 would be something unique, and not to mention, very cool. Your choice, but I might lean toward building the 6. One day, I'd like to build a bad 6. one day.............................Country

Remember, if you dare to be different, you will never be compensated for it. That and nothing sounds nicer than a healthy V8.

I'm a V-8 man, but I have to agree with Dennis again. What not again. (lol)
If you stay with the 6 and build it right I think you could give any bone stock V-8 some dust. I've seen some inline 6's in the 12's at my 1/4 track.
    I vote for the 6!

    As always just my .02

    I vote V8

If you want to be unique put a roller late 90s fuel injected V8 in .

Six's can run good. I've built 2 hot sixes. One a MOPAR flatty and I have a 200 on the stand waiting for transplant into my '63 Ranchero. I am very partial to the 6 in a row stuff. I also have a Mustang EFI system sitting in the garage just waiting for a V8. So far you guys are more in favor of the 6. I guess I am too, but just wanted to see what the real world or at least this board members think.

Thanks so far. Guess when I'm at the Long Beach swap meet this Sunday I'll have to look for a Aussi head. Hey if I'm gonna be different I'm going all the way. Well farther anyway.

    Thanks guys for the input.

The 200 is for the Ranchero. My kid will drive that when he gets his licence next year. 200 is to small for the Maverick.

    Nothing SOUNDS like a V-8.

But since it's your car, you must do what you really want, or you will never really be happy.

I'll stick with my V-8, thank you. :D

My Sprint had a 200 and would run 16 flat in the quarter with just a set of headers. Not too shabby for a 200.

A friend races a Dodge with a slant 6. He pulls 12.60's all day long. Oh and when he beat a new ZO6 Corvette you should have seen the look on corvette owner. He was seriously depressed I am farely sure he went home to kill himself for buying a Chevy.

I was just looking at a aussie head...sweet. I would do an aussie head and would probabily drill the head for direct injected nitrous. 200 and 250 are strong engines. It should it would be farely easy to get 200-225 hp out of a six with an aussie head then spray 120 hp of nitrous. I would think you could make a lot of V8 owners very sad.

Great info guys. I while back I posted a request on HP for a 250 or 200 with auzzie head and got no real good response. They must us a different HP rating then we do because their I6 got less HP then a stock 250 here.

Ok, Ok it looks like I will keep the 6 in place. I'll start looking for the Auzzie head (and the $$$ to buy it) as well as a header & cam. I'm thinking of a 262 Isky cam.

Now guys wadda ya think about the trans? I have a C4 now, but I'd prefer a T5. Dennis I know you agree on a manual trans over C4. What about the rest of you guys? Is it hard to find or change to the clutch pedal assembly?
