Hey guys, I was just teasing about being stuck in the '70s. I hate when people say I'm "stuck in the '80s". I happen to think that most of the best music came from the '70s and '80s. I just don't miss the bell-bottoms, shag carpet, big collars, platform shoes, leisure suits, Gold Leaf and Avacado Green home interiors, or custom vans (with sidepipes!). The '90s sucked and I am so glad that decade is over. People forgot how to dress, forgot what good music is, Thought (and still think) that multiple tattoos, and piercings in every imaginable part of the body, which comes from the ignorant natives of the jungles of Kenya and New Guinea (remember seeing those in National Geographic?), are "cool", and that cheap japanese 4-door sedans with 4-cylinder engines (like CiViCs) are "performance cars'. I wonder what kind of stupidity the 2010s will bring...

Gee, after thinking about that stuff, sidepipes don't seem quite so bad afterall...:hmmm:

Ahhh, you are on the 'ol fart side. Glad to hear it.(y) BTW, I don't miss disco, leisure suits, big curly afros - on the white guys, and I especially don't miss the lousily powered cars of the '70s and the early '80s.:tsk: BUT, you gotta have platform shoes to dance to Black Oak Arkansas and "Jim Dandy to the Rescue."

    What's wrong with Pintos?!?!

I would love to have a rust free runabout.
They fit all the small blocks real nice. Even better than the Mavs.
    302, W, or C.
Heck, I even saw one with a GM 455!
It was a real redneck swap though... he took the cast iron manifolds and swapped sides with them. The flanges faced forward and the exhaust looped down under the engine on it's way back.
I have heard that 460s can fit with about the same level of labor as shaving our towers for a 351.

    TL,

Finally got online today, and saw the "improvements" you made to my car. Looks pretty good, except for all that empty space underneath the doors... :beerchug:

    And T.L.

    I agree, pintos suck.

I, for one, have totaled one. Hit it dead on in the rear, and to my dismay, it did NOT explode. My have to hit it harder next time.

Totaled my 71 VW Beetle at the same time. That was the last (and only) accident that was my fault (sort of). You learn alot from your first accident, even if you are just a stupid 18 year old kid at the time.

You just need to lower it. That will take care of all the empty space under it...
