And here thinking with Frank coming down I 75 like a rocket and wondering where in the world is that boy gonna find pancakes, guess you can figure that out all by yourself! NO pancakes for you! Have a safe trip Frank and don't go hungry! I am forunate that I don't even have to get on I75 until I get to Ocala! I will be eating breakfast somewhere, probably Starke. rk
Sorry Guys I Dropped The Ball And Forgot To Mention That The Silver Springs Show Is A Mini Meet Event For The Mcci Club Too. I Had A Total Brain Fart And Forgot That Not Everyone Knows This. I Got In Touch With The Cameo Club And They Are Bringing 6 Cars This Year. Lets See If We Can Beat That. I Would Love To See 30 Mavs This Year. If Any New Members Are Coming Look For The Restomod 4 Door (green) And You Should Find Me Nearby.
Most of the SSCC(Sunshine State Cougar Club) is staying at the Quality Inn @ I-75 & Silver Springs Blvd. Good accomodations, restaurant, and decnt internet rates. Not sure if any rooms are left but might be worth checking out. Rooms on 200 are usually higher than the other exits. Richard, He didn't say whether the change is permanent or not. I guess we will see how this year goes. If the number of pre-registations are any indication, it may be permanent. I just wonder where they will put 1800 cars. Move over, Giraffes. Here come the Ponys, Mavericks, Comets, Cats, Falcons, Thunderbirds, Cobras, Torinos, Fairlanes, Panteras, and other Ford Powereds. Jim
Jim While at the end of the show there were a total of over 2000 registrations, of which they anounce there was just over 1000 cars that actually showed-up with an additional 50 or so that only came on Sunday. I rather doubt there will be more than say 1200 that actually get there. But who know, good weather ALWAYS brings more cars, some are scared to even get dew on them, let alone a quick sprinkle or two! I need to do some more research before next year on the room situation, I am paying about $110/per room/per night plus tax. I have two rooms on Friday, but not sure if I am going to keep both or turn one back in. Still working on the final details of who all in my family will be there on Friday and Saturday. rk
Just counting through this thread, I count 5 cars so far: Frank: 71 Gold Holly & Rocky: cre8ivepro Jason: Jmiller Me (Richard): draggon13 ?: 72true62d Any more, quote and add to it so we might get a fair accounting. Thanks! rk
Richard, I am sure that not all 1800 pre-registered will show. That fihure doesn't count the ones who are not pre-registered and just show up on show day, however. Last year, 1500+ pre-registered and 1200 were there on Sat. It will be a great show, no matter the number. Add the 2 from Lakeland, 73 Mavrick and Mavrick73 to the list. Anybody got a good front valance for a '72 Maverick that is coming to the show? I need one for my Sprint. Jim
You got that right! Best show on the East Coast for Fords, except Carlisle for sure. Will make it there one day, just not sure when. rk
