I have been to many Silver Springs shows and this one was by far the coldest. I was misinformed on the total. Rick Schmidt announced Sun that 630 cars showed up for the show, down from usually over 1000 each year. However, it showed what Car Crazy people we are. Even with the "heat hut", you had to really want to be there.

Sunday started out rough. Not only was it freezing cold, but the power went out at the farm just before I left. It was off for over 3 hours, so if I had stayed home, I would still have been cold. When I came home from the show, my modum had died. Must have frozen to death. Fortunately, AT&T was quick to resolve that problem and I am back on line with a new modum.

Saturday, I drove the dk aqua XR7 convertible to the show. Pics of it are in the other thread. Sunday, I took my ole "steady eddie" black XR7 htp. It wasn't much warmer, though. Sat, we had 13 Cougars, down from 24 last year, and only 3 returning on Sun. The Mav/Comet guys had a much better return rate. Next year, I hope to have a Mav or Comet to take to the show. We will see.

Thanks to everyone who made it. Looking forward to next year already.
