Sorry........spring removal again!!

    Probably not the safest way .... and that won't work if you are working on just the shell since there won't be enough weight to compress the spring ... BOIIINNNNGGGG ... :)

    I got ya, I know when a car is all together its easy to remove one and with all the tension off the spring it just falls out, but good advise from everyone.

    Won't work on a stock spring. The upper a-arm bottoms out on the frame before the spring loses any of it's tension.

    I had the same thoughts before I did it the "frahler" way. :yup:
    :tsk: no torches were used during the harming of my springs :D

    anybody tried that disc they sell on ebay. it seems that you remove the upper claws and put the disc on, insert it in to the spring and tighten it up. :huh:

    Check this old thread - in post #21 of that thread, I have detailed pictures of the correct way to use the spring compressor. I've worked on 100's of springs, and nothing keeps my attention better then a compressed spring. Not one of the car projects that goes better with some beers ..... :drink: :tsk:
