I have never seen the space saver in a Maverick/Comet. I know the B2 piece is rare and valuable. Other Mustangs-'71-'73-used them I believe. Let us know if you find out that they came that way. Seth
Dang...don't let him throw it away. Even if it's not correct for the Boss 302, it would be neat to have in your car.
I've been looking all over for one of these. I can't find any newer Lincolns. What years were the alum spares used in? '98 up?
I had a 77 Formula Firebird that came with a inflatable spacesaver spare. The tire collasped inward and wasn't much larger than the rim. It came with a pressurized can to inflate it when you had to use it. When we bought the car, the can was missing, so we had to go to a GM dealer to get one, if I remember right, the inflater cost about $30. We never used the spare in the three years I owned the car. Never seen one like that in anything but Camaro's and Firebirds, was the one for the Boss 'Stang like that?
I think mine was a Firestone, but that was back then. I do good to remember what I had for breakfast today now.
Here is a pic taken today via my cellphone of the spare in my 79 Z-28. This is as the factory installed, never been out of the trunk, can is original too. Dan
I have 2 of the lincoln wheels I would sell for 20 bucks each. Not to interested in shipping but I could bring to the Round-up Tim
I'd buy both of them if I was going to be at the round-up, but I'm not. I can't be there this year, it's a lot further away from me than Owensboro.
