Here are a couple of my old threads. My 460 Mav is not the fastest car....but it s not slow either. I've done it on the shoe string budget but I have hundreds of hours in it. I am starting to spend more time and money now on making it look good. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=20166&highlight=progress http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=20666&highlight=progress Yes, it runs now. Shadow...I love that double-thumper smiley, where did you find that? That is one BEAUTIFUL piece of iron, eddie I want one JUST like it...
Eddie, it seems to be working (even though he is killing a 3rd gen camaro, the worst of the worst, until the newer ones came out!). Hey Cleaver, is that epoxy primer or just regular gray? It looks just like the PPG epoxy I have on my front fenders, gray with a little bit of a purple tint. I really love that color, and wish I could shoot it and leave it. I have heard that I can shoot a clear coat over it and it will resist the sun damage, and last forever...
I used to get the paper delivered in that tube until I canceled the subscription....then a hood scoop became available. That was the 7.61 1/8 mile run posted on the timeslip section. I think the Camaro ran a 8.50 something. I'm working on a functioning cowl hood right now, so the paper tube is on the wall. Yep - Paint is PPG gray epoxy. Car had about 4 coats of cracked and chalky paint on it when I got it. I sanded off the paint to metal and shot the epoxy, then commenced to going and stopping fast. Converting to the MII front end in the Maverick is not a job everyone wants ...but for cheap reliable horsepower I like a 460. Cleaver
