Sorry about that. I was in a hurry lol. I suppose I COULD have been a little more confusing...but my original post did a good of that considering I wasn't even really trying These are what I was talking about...I think I found these in my local KMart in their little Craftsman tool section....and it depends on which bolts are rounded off. Probably can't even get the thing on most of them.
Thanks for the pix, Maxx. A pix is worth 1000 words. I will take a look for them; I may need something special to get them out. Wud u happen to know what they are called. I do have a Craftsman tool cat. - will see if something like that is in it...
It's on sale right now lol... http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00952166000P?PDP_REDIRECT=false&s_tnt=39869:4:0
I just found a couple sets of 5/16" hex head bolts on ebay and snagged them. I think those would make everything a lot easier.
I use 3/8 hex head bolts and a long box end wrench. Chase the threads so you can put the bolts in with your fingers. With the header pulled away from the heads, start all of the bolts and run the ones with the least clearance in first, then the ones with ample clearance, all finger tight. At that point the box end wrench can be used on all the bolts, at least on my Doug Thorley shorties.
