Nothing I did affected the operation of the Dome Light or door buzzer until I blew the fuse to it. Dome light worked normal with or without the box.

Take it for what it's worth, but the car did run normal and everything worked normal when I connected the wires together under the seat and removed the box all together.

Jamie that is EXACTLY why I want this thing out, I agree with you 100%.

I was wondering why I spent 3 hours yesterday obsessing and searching the internet to get this box out. Now I know that I was not the only one.

Has anyone gotten past the "the instructions say to..." phase and completed the "I did this and it works!!!" phase.

I am seeing alot of "I read"s and "It should"s, but not many "I did"s

Maybe whoever does an "I did" can post it to "Special Topics"?

Unlike Jamie, who is younger and has more energy than me, I don't really want to sit outside in the Texas heat while working under the dash, blowing and replacing fuses all day. But, I will strongly encourage that he continue his quest and report to his superiors once he succeeds (y)

yeah but no one has written instructions on how to remove the box and the underhood switch to clean everything up. I purchased the ford manual on this box off ebay a few months ago but haven't had time to decode it and right now not even sure where I put it. Come January I should have time and will look at the wiring and see if I can't figure out how to splice this whole set up out of it. I want the yellow box and the underhood switch gone.
