..I liked the last pass in that video as well.
It looked as if you were spinning much of
of the first part of the track.
Does the class you run in allow major rear
suspension mods such as coil overs?

no, the only suspension mods allowed are bolt in only.....the car can be mini tubbed and the leaf springs can be moved in board. No coil overs allowed. The rules state that the shocks can't be moved either but i've gotten away with that so far!!:D Maximum 26x10" race slick allowed. 3000 lbs. minimum weight......

A complete set of rules can be found here, there's also a picture of my car on the site.....

Hey Steve, i havent got to see the video because my POS computer wont let me lol!! but anyway,, may i make 1 suggestion? i tried it and it killed my car, so im willing to bet that it would help your car too... if you have tried it already nevermind, but anyway i think you should try a little less gear,, i run a 4.11 and we tried a 4.86 and it slowed it down from 6.30's to 6.50's,, it just grabbed RPM's way too quick and didnt really pull hard,, i want to try a 3.70 or so to see if that helps more, im running 28" tires vs the 26" you are running so i dont know.. LOL just a thought, dont gotta try it just wanted to pass on my experance since our set ups are pretty close...

...there are a lot of Moore's on that pics page...
    relatives?

You wouldn't be related to Donnie Moore from
    Durham, NC would you?
'68 Cobra Jet Mustangs in SS/FA I believe.
I think his car is 'Instant Action'.
He won a world championship in the early
80's in his fastback. He has an original
'68 Cobra Jet GT coupe. Supposedly a very
rare car. That has been a race car since
about 1970. I went to high school with his
    son.

Jim, you may be right on the gear....I've been wanting to get a 4.11 and try it but just haven't had the time and have kinda put that on the backburner. I think you may be right, the 4.56 is just a little too agressive on the 26x10" slick, especially with the t-brake. If I get the time this winer I may just go ahead and try the 4.11. I have also considered some custom gear ratios for the c4!!

Seth, I'm not sure if I'm related to that Donnie Moore. I could be but most of my family originated out of the East Tennessee area. I do have an Uncle (Gary Moore) that lives in Monroe NC.

John, I just recently put the t-brake on and it actually hurt my 60' times on the spray.....it did pick them up on the motor though. The car will actually 60' better on the footbrake w/nitrous right now because my rear suspension just doesn't want to handle the hard hit that the spray is throwing at it. I may have some geometry issues with the shortened 9", I'm still a good way off from geting the rear suspension figured out. The car doesn't seem to like the little 26x10" slick but I am trying a new slick, just picked up a set of Mickey Thompson 26x10" ET Drags. I've never run M/T's but i've been told that they will hook better than the hoosiers that i've been running.
