why was he complainin? that'd be like wakin up to your favorite song every friday if you ask me. I may need to find a neighborhood like that.
I'm the same way. I've got 9 acres of a 40 acre plot all owned by the wife's family. My carport and yard have been used for many jobs, from motor changes to paint jobs. My neighbors are all family, and when something breaks on their cars, who do they usually ask about it first? Me. I've had as many as 10 parts or otherwise non- running vehicles in my yard at one time, nobody but the wife ever made a fuss. Oh, and I park my 18 wheel semi in the circle drive beside the house! That would really pee off most neighbors! Right now, I have two parts Comets out back, near the tree line, a F100, a travel trailer, and my car trailer on the side by the tree line, and my 4x4 F150 out back next to the big old shade tree. My 99 F150 and the Mav sit by the carport, the Mustang is under it most of the time. Nobody cares! I'm 1 mile out of the city limits. I couldn't live where a lot of you do. I've got to have my room. If I want to take a leak in my back yard, I can do so without hitting my neighbor's nose when they stick it out of the window!
Same here. Here's a shot of my back yard (3 acres). I actually have 6 cars back there now and will likely add more soon.
I have had that problem before in Cobb Co. GA.I now live in Forsyth Co. and had that happen here once too.The county told me if the cars were not running, taged, insured I could not keep them in plain sight of neighbors or street but said if they were behind fence or out of sight I could do whatever with them.I drive around the county and see dozens of houses that have many cars trucks, boats, ect. that have been in the same spot for many years and are still there today.I think a lot of it depends on where you live.Find out what the law realy states in your county/city about this before hand. There is somtimes a loophole that will allow time for repair of cars on your property.I was turned in by a neighbor who has since moved and now have no problem doing what I want in MY driveway. The cop that I spoke to said that if the cars were race cars it would be leagle to have /work on them in driveway. So now everything I work on is now a race car no matter what it is (HA HA).
