    Latest news - driveshaft problems

    Well, we noticed there was a weight missing off
    of the driveshaft, so we took it into the shop to
    be rebalanced.

    There two new problems were discovered.

    1) The driveshaft is bent.

    2) The harmonic balancer is shot.

    It sounded like things were about to get real interesting
    when the shop owner came to the rescue. He completely
    straighted and trued the driveshaft, eliminated the
    balancer and balanced the whole thing like a machinist
    would balance a crankshaft, by removing material.

    Total cost: $48.00! Wooohoooo!

    Pictures are posted below. One is a before pic and the
    other shows the detail of the new balancing.

    Later I will post a pic of it after being blasted, painted
    and installed.
