:naughty: Leave it to Ray to hijack a thread. Sorry Seth, here you are asking a simple and relevent question and all Ray is thinking about things that he thinks of while he's at work and pretending to work. What are we going to do with this guy???

    (That sound familiar, Ray?)

Ford advertised them as Maverick Grabbers, and that is the way I have always heard them referred to but I suppose some people may be inclined to call them Grabber Mavericks ????:D

When I first bought the old Maverick advertisement that I have at my desk, (it's the 1970 Grabber ad that says "for $1995 it's a little gas.......for a little more it's a Grabber..... The picture of the plain Jane Maverick on the left has "Ford Maverick" under it and the Grabber on the right side has "Maverick Grabber" under the picture. My son wouldn't quit asking me what is the difference between a Ford Maverick and a Maverick Grabber?? Try Explaining that to a 9 Year old,, by telling him it is an appearance package that added cool racing stripes and sports mirrors and cool hubcaps" and then having him look at you and say "yeah Dad but why is the name different isn't it still made by Ford and isn't it still a Maverick?" LOL

The only way I finally made him understand was I told him that technically it was actually called a FORD Maverick Grabber, I still don't think he grasp the total Idea but he quit asking questions...lol hahahaha

    A motor is electric...
    An engine burns fuel...

I can't stand it when folks say "motor mounts"...

I also hate it when folks don't know that an auto tranny uses a flexplate... Flywheels are for manual trannys.

Do you see a "motor bay" when you raise your hood?

Do you get "engine oil" at the parts store? Hmmmmm ???? ;)

Also, Transmission Fluid vs. Motor Oil. :hmmm:
