    Shewt, when you're 16 there is always an engine hoist available! ;)

    I pulled a 351c from a Torino with a branch on a Mimosa tree on the back corner of the house. :yup:

    Nevermind that I know now that the Mimosa is an extremely weak overgrown weed... By some stoopid luck, it worked out.

    I got my engine down to the pistons/block once when it had heads and intake off, and I had dropped the oilpan to swap out the seals, and wondered the same thing..."I wonder how hard it would be to "rebuild" or at leas put in new pistons/rings at this point?"

    But, I chickened out and decided to wait and have it completely machined and rebuild.

    But it looked like it could have been done...

    It's amazing any of us lived with the stunts we pulled during our stupid years - ages 15 to 23.
