I work with a guy that has the type of Beamer that has the tilt hood. I'll have to wait to get pictures or measurements from it until spring. He won't let it come out and play in the snow and ice. I have a hundred things to do on my car till then so I'll have to back burner the front end for now. Keep your thinking cap on.
I know the C4 vette front end is a tilter. I think they split the whole thing at the middle of the door line. Then they overlap the top over the bottom to keep it from looking goofy. It's been a long time since I've been around one in person.
