Thanks to my son, Jason, for posting the pictures while I was at work. In the group shot, left to right is : White '69 Cougar conv, purchased in '02 to be my show car to go to shows with my son, who I gave my red '69 XR7 conv for his 16th birthday. PO passed away and I bought it from the estate and finished it. Retired it in '04 and have put over 30,000 miles on it as my mostly daily driver. 361W/Edelbrock 1406 carb/FMX Sprint Maverick, purchased last summer. Appears to never have left the state of Ga. before I bought it. No rust in it except in the pass side front floorboard due to a leak in the windshield, sat in a fellow's back yard for 10 years. Primered and painted entire underside Wimbleton White and installed a 302 from a '72 Comet, bucket seats from a '73 Cougar, still needs a lot of work 302/C4 Sprint Mustang, purchased in summer of '04 on Ebay. Had been off the road since '93 and stored in a garage in Pa. Rusty trunk and lower quarters. Cut entire back off car and replaced both full quarters, full trunk, and tailight panel, any rust was cut out and replaced with new metal front to rear. Still need to redo the interior with original blue cloth and fix a few places in the paint 351/2V/FMX, Flowmasters 50 '73 Gold Glow Coutang, purchased in '97 along with a '73 XR7. It had been in a guy's backyard hiding from the repo man. Took the 351CJ/4spd drivetrain, rebuilt it, and put it into the Stang, thus making my Coutang, and the origin of my handle. Painted 2 years ago and has attended many shows since 351CJ/1406 Edelbrock/4spd, Flowmasters 40 '69 black/black XR7 Htp, purchased in '03 from Ca. to teach my son how to drive a manual shift, rust free, have driven it twice to Ky to shows, great car, 351W/1406/4spd, Flowmasters 40 Not shown are the '69 Dark Metallic Aqua(GulfstreamAqua) in primer, has been off the road since'89, new interior, many NOS parts including valances, rechromed bumpers and grille, complete new suspension, front and rear, stainless brake and fuel lines, Bendix brakes, new bearings, etc, new gas tank, rebuilt 351/4V/FMX M code car, just got an entire exhaust system for it with Flowmasters 50 Also Red '72 Comet GT, many parts, awaiting it's turn, stored under a tree in Ark for 15 years, and a '71 Grabber, rust free from Okla, Off the road since '87, which I haven't had time to do much to yet. All projects, some more challenging than others. Whew! Makes me tired thinking about it. They all sleep under car covers in my 48X60 building when not out playing, No Trailer Queens here. I drive 'em, more fun that way. Drive 'em, don't store 'em. Jim
