To chrome or not to chrome

What are your thoughts on the chrome trim?

    To me painted bumpers and trim look like the 80s. I like chrome, but I used to see a really nice looking Maverick at shows years ago (I think it was the Maverick Connection guy) that was orange and it looked like an early base model without the chrome around the side windows and drip rails. And I think it had painted Magnums without trim rings. It was very tastefully done.

    I think it just had chrome bumpers and the polished window mldgs. That's about as dechromed as I'd like.
