surprisingly i think cracking your shock towers would be the only reason to remove them for an FE block... the ebay mav actually had me looking at my spare fe block in the back yard a couple times thinking of reasons not to power the comet with it.... hehe

v/8s are great for power but they put so much weight out front, with the lighter motor
and it is probably allumin.would make for a better handling car and no 6 cyl. ford product would touch the motor he installed . have got to appreciate that ,,,

only if you modify the suspension, otherwise it will not be set up for the lightness and be a little squirly in corners. you notice that even with the heavier ford 6s, im sure it would be real bouncy with aluminum and no mod. theres more to it than just yanking weight off. as far as that goes, it works for heavy also. if you mod the suspension for the weight the weight is only something that has to be overcome with horsepower. there are racing cars with heavier engines than a 302 that can out corner most of us. it comes down to the sum of the parts AND how they are laid out. just like in martial arts if you think you have the only and final answer then prepare to be beaten.

Yes that is all true but the cars with heavier motors that can out corner a maverick
have had the motor moved towards the center of the car i was talking about factory car not moving the fire wall but you are right we could go on and on about this debate and reallt no one well be right ,,,

Weight was added back in with the 200lb speakers and 1000 watt amp.

Although Im not crazy about the jap motor, I think its great that people have taken an interest in our cars. Looks like they put a lot of work into it.

I think it would have been better with an Aussie 4.0 with a turbo, or one of the aussie crossflow heads, or even a nissan... Its not neccisarily that the motor is rice I just dont like Toyota. :thumbs2:

It is a nice looking car and I bet it will haul a$$,but it will never have that american V8 sound that I love to hear.

I can agree with the whole V8 sound thing. I don't really care for it being Toyota-powered, as the only japanese cars I really like are those Subaru STI's and Mazdas (not hard to guess why I like Mazdas though :p)

But it is true that it could out-corner alot of our cars, considering how light it is, but I'd much rather it had a Ford V-6 or a 2.3 turbo like we've seen before.
