I want cal tracks too but they are not needed yet. Gotta get the car running first. I bought some traction bars years and years ago. They were looking kinda rough so when I refinished my diff I had the powder coater hit them too. They look brand new. Mine hit the eye.
Nice looking axle and plates,Blu .What is the length of the bars you have? The pairs I have look just like them.

Cal-tracs have an extra tab for mounting your shocks, which I didn't see on that link. Figure 8 should have a little extra material bent downwards to accept the bottom of the shock. Frank, how did you mount your shocks? They put 2 tabs on one side so you can use them staggered or with both shocks on the same side of the axle.
I found mine bolted to a F150 in the wrecking yard.I cut, welded, shimmed and modified them to work. The snubber is actually cut in half and hits right on the spring eye. Unless you running in the low 11's or quicker you really don't need Caltracs This was just coming out of the burnout with street tires you can see the bars and the body rise.
With slapper bar you need about an 1/2" between the spring eye and snubber to keep the pinion angle correct under load. You can damage the spring if the snubber doesn't slaps the eye.
Then you can also damage the spring by doing burnouts without traction bars. Their only function is to prevent the spring from winding up under load. Snub em tight and they function the same as Cal-tracs.
Mine just touch the spring eye at rest not really any preload This Camaro has original leaf springs with slapper bars
