i would try to find the fuse for the horn and remove it to see if the sparks stop. that will help isolate the problem. if the stop then you know where to look. if they dont stop then you know where not to look.
hmmmm well that makes it harder. can you leave the round thing that the horn contacts rub on out. and if its out make sure that they dont touch anything.
I'll go back and check and see if I can prevent that but the metal horn ring is needed for the steering wheel to turn because it has the teeth like an axle to grab the steering column and turn it.
Just a thought. What if you isolated the wire that goes to the horn and sniped it at the base leaving a couple of inches so that it could be put back. You could either put it back or run an independent fuse once it gets figured out.
But see even when I isolated the horn wires the unit still would spark in the steering wheel somewhere.
What do you mean isolate? I'm talking about cutting the power to the horn system. Your switch is a complete aftermarket unit?
Ohhhh I get what you're saying! Sorry I had my dunce hat on, didn't get much circulation to the cabesa. Ok I gotta try that tonight. I'll let ya know
LOL! No spark at all . . . well just those pesky sparks coming from those spark plugs, otherwise nothing from the steering column.
I notice that you two come on at almost the same time lately . I'll be on here checking things out then when I see the green light on on one of you i'll look and the other light is on... :16suspect
