You notched the shock towers so what happened to the 351 based idea? Does the deck height make it too tight for all that turbo plumbing?

Also, is someone going to primer it for you then give it back or are you primering it yourself? Can't wait to see more progress!

Whats up erick...you know i am gonna shoot that primer/sealer in the garage....My neighbors will love me...lol
Yeah, I am not sure how much room I am gonna have. I want it as clean as possible, and don't reall want to have a engine compartment stuuuuffed full of piping. Figure if I can make 450 on the motor, @ 15lbs it will make 900...18-20 should take it to the magic 1000+ area...

I might be able to shoot some pics today...

Cool. Which 'aftermarket' block did you get?

Unfortunately, I put all forged guts in a STOCK 5.0 block. Now the block is the weakest point - and I'm very limited to the amount of ponies I can make.

Good luck with the project. Sounds like it's going to be a monster!

which block have I got? hahahahah! For me to have a block, that would mean that I would have money. And that, I don't have....lol

Seriously, I could grab a block in a bit, but I got to send her back to the chassis shop for the rear, springs and pads, shock mounts, and to stuff as much tire in those mini tubs as possible...

Looking at a Dart, w/ a R302 in a close second...I personally love the World block, but there just isn't enough track record behind it. And I ain't gonna be the trailblazer, you know?

Boy, where has the time gone...

Anywhoo, I know alot of ya'll have been hearing me bumpin' my gums (running my mouth), and have wondered "What ever happened to this pink Maverick? Or maybe you haven't...Oh well. I have been trying to figure out where this thing was going. One week it was nitrous. The next, it was a ProCharger...Here is the update...

As soon as Dart sends the block out, the motor will begin to be machined. 364 Dart 8.2 block, Scat 3.4 crank, Scat I beams, Ross pistons, Dart 225 CNC heads, Custom Roller Cam, Vic Jr or FunnelWeb, CSU 850, BorgWarner S400 turbo, Air to Water innercooler.

Mikes 'Glide w/ brake. Water cooled tranny cooler, Neal Chance converter, Strange S60 (Dana 60) w/ 3.50's, Landrum springs, Cal Tracs, 29x10's in the rear.

Car is going back in the chassis shop for a final time. We are fitting the rear, stuffing these tires to get this car nice and low.:yikes:

We are still keeping with the 'street car' theme. Heck, it will still be a street car. Stock suspension all the way around. And it will have the bench seat, stock dash, etc.

Enjoy the pics. And thanks to Erick, Maverick Man, Thomas H, and Jayman, for helping me get it this far. But the rest is really gonna be fun.(y)

Okibono has an incredibly well thought out plan and he knows what to do to get it done...very inspiring dude. I think this will be one of the coolest Maverick's ever. A turbo street car that runs 8's in the quarter with a bench seat and maybe even a vinyl top...classic  I'm enjoying watching the build and can't wait till it's done.

By the way, you better keep this on the down-low so you can make some money.:evilsmile (i.e. don't bump your gums too much, LOL)

Hmmm, you got me thinking now, maybe I should build a turbo car too :D.
