I have several on VHS ... just gotta get them on my computer when I get a chance ... maybe this weekend. I think I have 2 or 3 Maverick commercials and a Comet commercial ... No Grabber or GT commercials ... :(

Hey Dennis....does the 16mm movies have sound...or do you have to play a record to go along with the movie....or do you even know??

I also have an AMC training video for Hornet Sales. It trains an AMC salesman how to sell an AMC Hornet over a Ford Maverick. It was a slide show with audio converted to video. Back in the day ... I probably would have bought the Hornet after watching this! :(

I work at a movie theatre and we have comicerals before the movies we call rolling stock. I noticed one day on ebay that someone had a Maverick adivertisemt for a 35mm projector, but wanted $35 for it. No money at the time but it did exist.

actually, i DO remember a mav commercial...it had a mav toy placed nose to nose with a vw bug..."the new maverick seats five" (the mav gives the bug a love tap on the bumper) "the beetle costs 175 dollars less than the maverick" (the bug returns the love tap... the mav is moved backwards) so the thing goes until the mav has given more love taps than the bug...the front fenders and bumper are all you can now see of the bug.
"looks like the all new ford maverick could push the beetle out of the picture!"

The 16mm does have sound. I bought 2 different projectors off ebay trying to view these films. Neither one works very good (big surprise) despite the great write ups in the auctions. One projector ate about 10 ft of the leader of one film so I'm not going to chance it on these projectors again.

DEnnis, there must be shops that specialise in such transfers. Have you looked into it?

AMC cars have always been interesting to me, the way I see it if you can love a Mav/Comet you can love a Gremlin or Hornet.
I always wanted a Gremlin X Levis edition with the 340 and 3 speed or the Hornet SC with the 360.
    Hold on...I 'm dreamin...let me wake up:banghead:

Yea, there's a company in Pittsburg that specializes in this sort of stuff. Its one of those things I keep meaning to check into but never get around to it. I wrote their phone # down so I will try to give them a call tomorrow.

One more thing I ment to say, when my daughter got married last summer, the photographer's websight had all the pics posted. You could look at any of them but if you right clicked and tried to click on "save target as", it would say the item is copy righted and would not let you. So there must be away to do this. I would love to post them for the people on this board to see them, but I sure dont want anyone else to use them. By time its all said and done, I'll have way too much money in them to let that happen.

That was probably a javascript warning which is easily defeated by disabling javascript in your browser.
