I hear ya on that note. That's the only way I can gat my transmission out.
What is the C.R. on the LS3? Do you have to change pistons for the turbo ? I'm LS illitterate, but I am intrigued by them. They seem like a lot "BANG" for the buck.

What all do you have done to yours, at the present time?:Handshake

    mines 9.1 stock

Best money I've ever spent is in this swap by far the best bang for the buck you couldn't build a sbf for what I've got in this motor

And its stock down to the spark plugs (probly have 100k on them) other then a little 220 duration cam, carb intake and 1-5/8 headers (small for a ls) it runs 7.86 on the motor

    I'm running a 3.27 gear also

Hi Matt, yeah I really needed a dash cap, it was under $60.00 including shipping, matching the color of these seats has been fun as far as the rest of the interior color goes, but I got it as close as I could which turns out to be royal blue, I don't have my shop ready yet but I am going ahead with the interior because I am just tired of waiting to do something to the Grabber, I was in your area today picking up those tools, they were over in Mossyhead, dude gave me a lot of extras including two new watertraps for the spraygun and sanding and buffing disc for the orbital along with some sanding blocks and paper, said he felt bad about me making the long trip, might still need that dashcap for the Green Grabber when it gets here don't know yet the condition of that dash, how is your search for the four speed tranny going? any luck yet? I saw your ad on CL.
Pictures coming soon on my color change and interior change, gotta add something to my Project thread sometime, it's been tooooo long.

So I guess the question is does that statement include the cost of all the other mods you had to do to be able to fit the motor and tranny in your car.....:16suspect

I actually bought 2 standard transmissions. 1 was a 3 speed out of a 68 Cougar 289, and the other a 4 speed with no id tag. I got them both as a package deal from a man up in Dothan. The 3 speeds in excellent shape, and the 4 speed while it shifts out fine is busted up where the main case bolts to the bell housing. I've been trying to find a replacement main case but so far no luck.
Are you going to get a chance to check out the car show in Panama City Beach. I guess they've got events planned for everyday this coming week although I'll probably just try to catch the show on Saturday. I hope to be able to show off my own ride one of these days, but at the rate it's going it'll be a while.

Yep I will be going out there to look around, gotta work today and Tuesday so prolly will drive out Thursday or Friday to see swap meet and vendors, need to pick up some more POR-15 in the spray can this time, you might look for a tranny case at the swap meet, someone had one there last year for $100.00, finally I get to start some serious body repair work, and to re repair the driver fender that the tire tore up, just been too busy, was working 6 days a week but now got cut back to 2 days per week at the DJ'ing job, still painting houses though so time is limited but not as much.

Took the Mav to the bumper rechromer today and had him fit the bumper to the car before they rechrome it. Fits nice now, should be done soon.
