Haven't driven her in a couple of weeks, so I went out and fired her up. After I shut it down and walked out of the garage, my neighbor was on his porch and gave me a thumbs up.(y)

Took the Thrush mufflers off, used an exhaust pipe spreader to eliminate the clamp indents, gonna put it all back on with new flange gaskets and finally tail pipes with hangers attached.

went through the underside of the car, buttoned up all the little things, greased the front suspension, did an oil change, new fuel tank sender gasket, put fuel in for the first time in over a year. changed the upper radiator hose to one that won't leak. installed the rear 2 tires. almost done. have to add oil saturday, fabricate the throttle linkage, and finish wiring.

I changed the oil and filter. I know it nothing to brag about but when I was buying the oil...the young lady about 22 years old working at Advance looked out the window and said "Who's driving the Maverick!" I had to ask her how did she know about a Maverick? She said her dad had one when she was a kid.

    interesting day...
went over to Nates today, he's a friend of mine that's a Deputy sheriff . while there the Sheriff stopped by. he was looking my Mav. over and asked me "how does it run?" I told him i would have to...plead the 5th on that question.
I had taken Nate for a ride when it had the 347 in it. Nate was trying to get me to take his Boss for a ride, he's a Hot Rod Guy also. for some reason I just couldn't bring myself to take the Sheriff for a ride.
when I left I did pull out on the highway in front of his house and lay two smoky black marks about 50 ft. long.
    ...love my...Detroit Locker...

Finished up the exhaust today, now it pops a bit when I give it the pedal, now to get cleaned up and run out to the Emerald Coast Cruiz-in to see if the vendors have anything I can't live without! :outtahere:

Adjusted the fuel pressure, set the timing and did the biggest burnout ever. Then I awoke from my NyQuil induced coma.
