You had a mushroom growing in your transmission?

Finished tail panel, polished tail light frames.....reinstalled, sanded quarter panels where I skimmed them with filler and primed.

Don't yet know what i'm gonna do on the rear deck lid, it is in pretty bad shape, I really need to replace it but I gotta find one first.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner. I had no idea what it was either, I drain all the oil from the trans pan and hear something moving inside. At first I though I had broken something (my trans was acting up). When I first saw it I thought it was some kind of float or indicator. I had to ask a few guys and they knew exactly what it was and said to me, Your the first person to be inside that transmission. I was kind of happy but at the same time not so much because now I know this trans has never been serviced until now (new fluid, new filter, and new gasket). Now the trans shifts smooth and when it's suppose to, before I would manually shift it from 1st or D into 2nd because the engine would have to rev up so high just to make the shift but 3rd never had that problem.

All interior is out.. Driver door is off, cage is out. Quarter windows/chrome that goes with them is off... Next step is unbolt exhaust and get that out of the way to do some cuttin of the floors and get the mustan pans in... Does anyone know if the holes for the mutant sliders line up somewhat close in position to the factory holes? Or are they too far back/ forward? If I have to I'll weld them up and drill my own but I think it would be easier to just get mustang sliders.

Lol I'm working on getting a 4 door for parts for myself as well.. Just sucks because it has power steering and I wanted to convert my comet to it.. Oh well I'll have to wait and probably buy it separately or wait for another parts car to come along after this one. I just hope this deal goes through.. 300 bucks for a 72 4 door running 302. Good bumpers all the way around :)

Finished my water pump replacement along w/ fabricating fan shroud for elec fan; installed wire loom on some underhood wires and finished LED running lite setup. This was "off-on" week long project - just finalized everything - no leaks.
Ready to make my last show of year, this Sunday.

esampson hopefully that deal comes through for you sounds like a killer deal to me. I think I would buy another turd if it was a 72 just for more sheet metal and the small bumpers

Yesterday...but still...got the nasty 10 bolt rearend out from under the car, and set the 8.8 in it's place. Also got a rough hole cut in the tunnel for the shifter. Hoping today to get a new tip for the plasma cutter so I can get the trans to fit in the next few days!

Pulled the intake and realized my vacuum leak was a vacuum port that was cracked... So it got new intake gaskets for no reason...
