Very nice Wally, but I liked the other wheels and tires a little better.

Thanks, I agree with you. It just drives so much better with the 15's. It was downright scary with the 17's at freeway speeds. I was on the 92 and it drifted into the lane next to me. Luckily there wasn't another vehicle occupying that lane.

Wow, I would think the 17's would handle better than the 15's.....maybe it's an alignment thing?

cleaned out the battery acid and laundry soap in my trunk finally. that combo with a little water makes for a really good paint stripper :rofl2:
I know you guys are wondering how the two ingredients come together in my trunk. well a while back I took my car to a local event to try and play with the mustangs doing donuts. well I forgot to fasten my battery down and didnt realize it until I got home later that day. to neutralize the acid from the battery rolling all around in the trunk I threw in some laundry soap. well it kept the acid in place. dont know how much it neutralized it but all the combo did was remove a little paint from the trunk floor so no biggie.
lesson learned never try to do donuts without your battery being strapped down :rofl2:

Pulled spark plugs to see why my car was running like $$it all of a sudden. Found #4 & #3 spark boots touching header. # 3 boot burnt thru to wire and #4 not as bad. Replacing the boots, plugs, changing the way the wires are supported and adding heat sleeves to the boots. Also, discovered other issues this past week, carb mounting bolts loose and 12v wire to the elec choke loose along w/ #4 wire completely dangling off the plug.
I was lucky I did'nt have any of these issues haunt me on my trip to the Gathering this past July. I am glad to deal w/ them in the comfort of my garage rather than stuck on the side of the road w/ my flashers going in 90+ weather condtions and a bum left knee.
Hopefully, will get it all resolved by weekend of Sept. 7-8th to make the NSRA North event in Kalamazoo -- looking fwd to going.

Installed the "new to me " fuel tank today, man it was in excellent condition (Thanks Marco) I now have a working fuel gauge also! sending unit was like new also,
Put four gallons of 90 octane in it and checked for leaks, none found, four gallons is an eighth of a tank lol, very clean inside, bought two new filters and going to put the Holley 750 on the engine now.
