I'd be on the phone............this looks like a cast cam and not a forging, but this is defective material none the less........and they should stand up and replace it.
Just another reason I don't consider Comp when it comes to cams....very poor customer service.............IMHO

You're welcome. You helped me with parts before...it's the least I can do. I think this mod you have up your sleeve is going to look good. :thumbs2:

drove the snot out of curb hoppers car trying to get it to blow up but no luck YET lol next round tomorrow :rofl2::drive:. the old motor has just about had it. its knocking and pouring oil from the rear main seal so were just going to terrorize it until it gives up then put a roller motor in it.
weve had this old motor apart and the main bearings are bad and the crank is all scraped up and worn out looking so its time to just kill it since we dont want to rebuild it

nothing on my comet today but did clean and paint the battery tray the other day
just have to bolt it back down and put my battery back in it

HAHAHA Curb hopper. I see you keep using that term! ROFL... I am thankful he didn't hit any other cars when he did that nor run the car FORWARD and destroy some VERY GORGEOUS cars in the process!

I hope he learned his lesson to NOT rev the car like a wild banshee with the throttle cable especial when the shift linkage so loose!

Also why destroy it? Just yank it out and sell parts or sell it as a core for $150..

a blown motor with damage done to it isnt going to get you any money...

Hell the $150 will buy a few good parts, or at least a nice RIM.

Hosed it off and took it for a spin. It drives better than it looks.

Put a new fuel pump on the 70 Grabber. Got it fired up & running. Was filling the radiator up with coolant. Found out I now have a freeze plug leaking behind the passenger side motor mount.. Bummer! Now I have to find out what it will cost to replace. Then I can get the exhaust redone.... Always something.
