Tim and his Son Todd came up yesterday and brought me his scroll saw and an extra instrument cluster for my new gauges. I sold the ones in my car as a plug and play set, they are going into a 74 Mav...:thumbs2:

    Hello Mojo:
Sorry I missed you in Champagne on the Power Tour .. I'm doing the same Power Steering conversion on my Daughters 72 Maverick also in about another month. We know it seems to be a "tight fit" and we're anticipating a
possible issue with clearances. Did you experience any frame interference when you installed the unit ? I've read that some Mustang folks have had issues with clearances on the frame. We are prepared to "notch" or relieve the frame somewhat when we install the Borgeson unit (already have it on the shelf)..and we are removing the 347 to convert it to fuel injection .So we won't have to remove the MC .While the engine is out we're installing new head gaskets, oil pan gaskets , rear main , etc. and it will be more convenient with the engine " out " I like the fact that it takes some
effort to steer .. Don't like them " twitchy" ..

Picked up a Harbor Freight $20 oscillating multi tool and some blades. I readthat it works very well removing undercoating and it does! In a couple minutes I cleared off as much as I did in two hours the hard way.

Sounds like I need to pick one of those up soon. My car has a couple layers of rustproofing on it and it's a royal pain to scrape it by hand.

This was done by hand and with a wire brush on a drill and it was not easy!

    But it was worth it!

Ordered a stud welder from Amazon. H&S 9000 for the roof dents. If anybody else is looking for one they're having a screaming deal on them. Picked mine up for $329
