Drove mine to a cruise-in this afternoon with a car show tomorrow. Was the only Maverick in the parking lot. I really enjoy talking to people about the car and our cars in general. I explained to one person that Ford did not factory install Boss 302 engines in Mavericks according to the wealth of knowledge found on this web site. And further explained that a friend and I installed the Boss 302 4 speed and 9" rear found under my car. Most people really enjoy these cars and frequently had one in their past.

At the car show Saturday I talked to a woman who wanted a Maverick since she had one as her first car. I directed her here to see everyone that has one for sale and/or that posts links to Craigslist ads. I let her sit in the driver's seat of mine to get her even more fired up!

I ordered a set of Corbeau sport seats for my grabber. Can't wait to get rid of the uncomfortable high back bucket seats. seat9-v_7.315 (1).jpg seat9-v_7.315 (1).jpg

Block sanded the POR-15 on the roof. One step closer to having the new vinyl top installed.

While I had my fan and fan shroud out I decided to sand the rust off my fan and repaint the fan blade and water pump pulley. Found a VHT gloss black at the local auto store (it's actually marketed as caliper paint). Check out my poor-boy spray booth. LOL. image.jpg image.jpg

Finishing up the Wiring & Exhaust for the Maverick . After ceramic coating next week of the X pipe we'll be firing up the 5.0 and checking for leaks. Looking forward to driving this one . Incidentally , CAMEO is going to be offering an
All Aluminum 1/2 " inch thick mounting plate for 302/5.0 engines for anyone interested in converting their cars to
Serpentine Belts using pulleys retrieved Mustangs from salvage yards . This will be far less expensive than buying a
new March Pulley Setup . We've done three cars now and I removed the old V-Belt pulleys since they were showing some wear in the "valley" of the pulleys. Now sure what the price for the plate will be but it won't be NEAR the price
    of March Pulleys .

After looking at a sea of Camaros and Mustangs, I did not see another Maverick.
