Converted the steering column over to a floor shift using 71 - 73 Mustang column collars.

post should have read..."Jeff is coming tomorrow morning and we will uninstall my gauges"...:thumbs2:

now that the cluster is out I might as well paint the dash...:yup:
also there's a plan B on the cluster bezel, I desided to keep the one that's in the car. it has the trip/reset switches and shift light already installed in it so I won't have to drill holes in the one I just restored, I just need to repaint this one...:bouncy:

finally starting to put back together my 73 Comet, testing fitting of modified export brace, removal of original front coils springs, side by side comparsion between it and 70 Boss 302 Mustang cut down 620 lbs spring. All these where off my 74 Comet, so everything should fit.......
another side by side comparison between Koni's and KYB excel G, Koni's where the only shocks that could
control those 620 coils, with its 5 adjustments.
Sleeve made for coil spring compressor, so threaded rod does not bottom out on spring perch.
Great thing with those cut down 620's, do not need compressor to reinstall!
Customized Champion CC339 radiator, had Ledfoot Racing install plate on passenger side to cover opening
from the OEM factory A/C. On my 74 w/o A/C, did not have this cut out on the rad support, also had to
move the lower outlet to the passenger side to match up with my water pump and to make sure everything
    would clear the front crossmember........
touched up the firewall reinforcement plate, where the pedal support/master cylinder bolts up, brake fluid ate away some of the paint, close match using plastic model paint enamel! Will try and see if carpaintonline has an OEM paint code match (thx. 71 Mavrk!).
Hopefully will get all the "rollerized" control arms in before weather turns ugly........

I have the same spring compressor and found it was too long for any application I used it for so I cut down the rod. Works like a champ now!
