Looks OK to me! Looks like a 73 and up strip? You didn't want to do the black painted section on the hood?? What make of air dam on the front valance?

Thanks Everett. The car is a 72, but we preferred the 73 stripe, and we may do the hood later. The air dam is a fiberglass 70 Shelby one. We tried to place it as far back on the valance as possible so that it did not look like a shelf and sit parallel with the road.

pulled the front calipers and had the powder coating dip-stripped. took them home and did about 3.5 hrs. of filing and sanding on them. they are ready to be coated "GOLD"...:bananaman:
also went by my sticker shop and drew up and ordered the decals for the front/rear calipers.

Got started doing a header/exhaust conversion. The headers on the car were on the car when I bought it "July 2009". Early last summer they begin leaking pretty bad, getting fumes in the car, not to mention noise levels. I bought a set of Hedmann shorties for replacements last fall but not to anxious to tackle my tight engine bay area w/ AC and PS hoses to circumvent or remove.
Finally, made up my mind to "Get Her Done", -- not going another season w/ this issue. I was fortune, whoever installed the header bolts put anti-seize compound on most, they came out without much effort. The long tubes slippped out from under much easier than I expected; at least on drivers side -- slipped out w/ just two twist. I'm hoping pass side will be as easy. Job probably would been lot easier had I removed pwr steering hoses,; I removed them from pump - not on the steering box. After, thinking about it, going to remove from box anyway to do some cleanup in the area and have new longer return hose for the Borgeson conversion.
Two reasons for going shorties, working solo, want to make things easy as possible. And, long tubes made removing trans a lot more work. This is only a "CRUISER", not looking for max power.

Passenger side is a piece of cake, looks like your next move will be to an exhaust to get it all hooked back together. I always put anti seize on the header bolts and give the headers a heat cycle and re tighten them a couple times

Yea, I will have recovery vehicle tow to muffler shop and do entire system. I want chrome extensions under bumper, same as what's being replaced. I put anti-seize on most all bolts going into engine. Do you use locking type header fastners? I ordered some locking bolts w/ the shorties but, to short, flanges on the shorties .375, bolts on old flanges about .225". I think I will use the bolts that came w/ the shorties and send the lockers back; I think the hex head will be easier to tighten in the tight area than one's I can only use a rachet style fastner - since I am hoping not to jack engine off mounts. What's you take on this subject?
Long tubes had Ford Performance logo stamped in flange. Are you familiar w/ that brand?

You wont have to jack motor to take off or install headers on passenger side. I have not used locking type bolts on header bolt fasteners since the first one I did many years ago did not really work any better. I use hex head bolts you can get the tool in there lots easier. Never knew of any headers from Ford Performance that were made for our cars but might be for a first gen Mustang since they are the same as our cars for fitment

Everett, I had to take the driver side engine mount loose and move the engine about an inch or so up to slip the header in. After that, went pretty easy. Exhaust guy said he had to get creative to get the 2 1/4" pipes in, but he didn't dent or bend any of the pipes. I really like the sound, and a bit of power over the stock manifolds. Good luck!

I modified my 1" wheel space to work with the Granada rotors, mounted up my wheel and set the fender on to see where I was at. I like it, now I just need to rework the rear wheel openings.
