    Bought a new headlight switch after telling y'all that the one I had was good. Such is life. Planning to work on the gauge bezel this week as my fiscal year is over at work.

    Anyone heard of 3-bolt Grant adapters sparking against the steering column? When I turn to the right I can hear popping and its sparking. I found something on another forum, but wanted to double up the research.

    Finally got it back together from a bunch of projects. The biggest being a rebuild on the Tremec TKO. Major pain with everything going on under this car and the tiny 69.5 trans tunnel.

    got my car back a couple weeks ago from where it's been sitting for the past few years as I kept moving and still managing to work on a floor pan install. barely got it done on Christmas to where i would no longer need electricity so it can go into a storage unit and I can put it back together. Yesterday was mainly cleaning the pollen and mold off of the engine and rust of the front disc brakes. also replaced the orings in that fuel transfer tube on the carburetor. but the back bowl looked really clean so I didn't bother with the front. No gas left. The few gallons in there evaporated. poor car has sat undriveable longer than driveable but that will change very soon.
    I changed the oil right before I started and I'm thinking I should change it again although 0 miles on the oil.

    Got a rear valance over the weekend. A little on the rough side, but it's a labor of love, right?

    I got the heater box installed, steering column installed and started to figure out the wiring debacle. I have some cut wires and some plugs that don't seem to go anywhere but was able to figure out what has power, keyed power, power with the lights on so I can try and get some stuff done before I install the dash. I also got her cranked after sitting for awhile. I had to flush the funk out of the fuel lines. I installed a new fuel tank and all last month.

    Installed new LED lighting for the entire car, except for the headlights which are on their way. Tip, you'll need one resister on each side to get your turn signals to work. Cannot say enough how much this improved the overall look of the car and the safety factor. Replaced all 4 marker assemblies with new bezels and lenses, next step will be to wire the flashers to include the side markers for more safety and visibility.

    Also, I finally finished my restoration of my Bobcat tail lights. I borrowed extra lenses I had and cut them down to replace the reflector lens, and that also makes it a Maverick lens on both sides. Had the bezels re-chromed. I'm almost embarrassed to admit how much that cost, but it was well worth it as I think these will really make the car look amazing from behind. Good luck finding anyone who will chrome anything these days. I found a guy in Houston who did an amazing job and specializes in chroming pop metal, and he turned them around in 2 weeks. Fortunately mine are the thicker variety. I added a lens socket to the reflector panel so each tail light will have two red bulbs, and I used the lens out of another Maverick tail light so now there will be a Maverick lens on both sides, making it look more natural and providing more brake light warning too. I was able to buff out all the lenses to almost new condition. Can't wait to get these on once the mechanical stuff is done and she gets a fresh coat of paint, rear spoiler, front spoiler, etc.

    My goal is to make my 77 look like a 77 should have looked (haha), but keeping the things that are unique to it like the front grill. Everything above the bumper 77, everything below 72. Pictures attached, and by the way I have a 73 front valance for sale as I also replaced the one in the pic with a 72 yesterday. I have the front chin spoiler that matches it, and comes off a 68 Shelby of all things. Lays flush to the 72 valance, looks great.

    Big step in 3 weeks, finally getting my Rod & Custom front end Mustang II suspension conversion done. Out of my skill set but I found a good shop to do it. So excited about this not only from a handling standpoint, but also to open up the engine compartment. Simultaneously adding a new CVF Serpentine belt system, all black with the compressor, alternator, power steering pump, going to look awesome and be so much better. Also going to put in 325 gears, moving the column shifter to the floor (classic Ford shifter), switching to Spyder II EFI from my Holley 650 and much more. So exciting, pictures will follow!
