$700.00 in about 1986. 74 Grabber, Red with White stripes, Black bucket interior, Floor shift, 302, heavy duty suspension, rear defogger. Nice car but rotten beyond repair. Which lead to a 75 Comet (bare bones, red/black, 6 cyl), then a 74 Grabber White with Orange Interior (still have) then a 74 Comet (bare bones, red/black, 6 cyl), then more in between (4 I think, lost track) then to my 73 Grabber in 2006 for $1973.00

thanks Stefan. I tried searching for something similar.. but never saw it.

How come you guys get mavericks for under $1500 and I'll have to pay like $3500 and shipping for one needing tons of work?

    I hate my generation :p

I got my first Mav - 73 LDO 2 door 302/C4 for $900 in 2000. It ran, had a/c, ps. Puts lots of time and money into it so far - looks totally different. Bought my 70 Grabber for $500 in 2004. 200/C4, ps. Ran but not registered. Currently swapping in a 351W. Bought my 72 Sprint for $1300 in 2005. 302/C4. 68k miles, runs great. Have also got a couple parts cars for free and one for $125.

My Dad got my Mav for me in '97, my first car. I wanted a 69-70 Fast back Stang. I-6 auto and suprisingly enough some power. 26k On the odometer at the time. He paid 200 for it at an estate sale. It's a 73 2D and I still have it. Now its a 306 w/ 4:63 gears and in need of alot of work..............Later ..........Maverick

I paid $400 bucks for my 1977 Maverick, and it has 55,032 original miles on the 4.1 engine. Runs like a dream.
