Thanks groberts. Full of good info as usual. We decided to just bite the bullet and get a 7qt anyways just for added oil volume. Anyone know of one that will clear the studs and fit without modification?

I had to use the stock pan. Moroso with the kickouts hit on the subframe. If I remember correctly it hit the lower arms.

That really appears to be the issue. No extra clearance needed for bokts but the studs are an issue.

I use a Summit stock capacity front sump replacement pan, ARP main studs, a Canton windage tray and had no issues putting the pan on.

the bigger issue sometimes is that the girdles studs are longer than the standard non-girdled studs.

And to make matters worse for some folks using a girdle.. the nuts sit up higher than they would typically sit on top of the cap itself and not enough clearance can be gained even when the studs total height is reduced down to the top of the nut. Then the hammer has to get bigger to clearance it all.

I'm sure my wife would agree.. girdles can help keep things tucked together.. but they sure aren't very comfortable to wear sometimes.

    LOL Groberts
Mav man thats the pan that I ordered. Got it in yesterday, at a glance it looks like an amazing pan and it should clear fine. Very excited, also took the opportunity to go to a high volume pump with an ARP pump drive shaft. Shouldn't have an oiling issue on that brand spanking new 347 now :D

I had a high volume pump to start out with but had problems with leaks and had way too much oil pressure, ended up changing to reg pump and has been working fine for the last 7 years. My motor guy said if you have 10 lbs for every 1000 rpm that's plenty.

    Update.
The milodan 8qt fits very well and is pretty nice. Looks like it will fit the maverick very well. Kind of price at a little over 300 when you buy the pickup for the pan.

Looks like a funhouse style garage with your engine hoist mounted on the wall like that! and I seriously want to know how you keep that engine balanced and standing straight up into the air on the trans tailshaft too.
