What spark plug wires do you suggest?

Shadow, thanks for steering me toward the 8mm and away from the 8.8mm. I wasn't sure if they would help out at all.

I will take your advice and gap down to .032. Seems like it would be a smaller spark, but a stronger one.

Would the "easier" spark at the plugs minimize the chance of the electricity trying to jump elsewhere, such as from wire-to-wire or wire-to-ground on shock towers or engine?

Keep in mind, guys, I am not a professional racer, so every last horse doesn't matter to me, as much as longevity and reliability. Now, that lifetime warranty sounds like something that could make me lean that way...:hmmm:

Again, thanks for all the input...

I have bought the Jegs brand wires, they are made by MSD and are half the price. I have had them for 4 years on all my cars and had NO problems.

Well, I narrowed it down and made my choice this morning...

Went up in the attic to find a passenger seat belt and found a full set of Taylor 8mm wires with straight boots, attached to a distributor cap IN ORDER, and these are custom fit to our cars, so the lengths will be correct and everything.

NAFORD302 gave them to me a couple years ago during one of our trades, and I just forgot all about them until I saw them up there...

Still have my old Accel super stock set, and another set up there.

I cannot believe how much "junk" I have up there...I wonder where it all came from:hmmm:

I'd be interested in pics of plug wire routing and supports, I'm getting ready to put in a new set of Accel 8mms. This is the first time I actually cared what they look like.Please.. post some pics or email/pm them, thanks.

It is a large picture, and I will have to resize it, but you won't be able to see the detail.

I will try to crop the detail pic and resize the full size pic.

I accidentally deleted the pic with the best angle, but you can see what it looks like with the one I have.

EDIOT---not mispelled...I seem to have now misplaced BOTH pictures, making me an EDIOT!!!

If he resends them, I will crop and resize and post them up here.

You can if you can get a set for something that used an HEI distributor. The clips are the same as a DuraSpark. '78 Camaro is what I asked for when I got my Accel 8mm wires, and they fit both my HEI and DS.

No complaints on those wires, either. I've used them in everything, only problem I ever had was burning them on the headers in a bizarre bastardized Mad Max "project" that God didn't want on the road.

    Got the pics!!! again...

Here we go. Looks like he is using the thicker ratcheting part as the spacer to keep the wires apart.(y)

For the best performance keep those wires an inch apart and at least an inch from any metal. They don't cross fire or short that way.
