Ummm,, thanks everyone for the nice comments on my car!!! No, Ray you cant have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol.......5 Colors for the Stallion, blue, silver, white, yellow and red. But I still say I saw a brown one when they were new, and boy was it ugly. By the way, I voted Sprint, since I dont have one. Thought about building a sprint clone out of my 71 that I am doing, but a vision came to me, and I am running with that. Dan
I meant to vote for Grabber. I cast my vote for Sprint before changing it. Small bumpers, bucket seats, 5.0 - 5 speed, Comet tail lights, grabber green possibly for the color. Haven't decided on wheels, I like the FMC center cap with trim rings, but would likely go with 15 inch wheels.
I would have to say a Grabber,,, Stallions and Sprints are rare cars,,, I think I would Rather see the few that are out there be the examples to what used to be,, A clone will always just be a ( wanna Be ),,, Oh crap,,,,,,I forgot,,,,,, I have a Stallion,, Lmao
Does anyone know the difference in the number of them produced? Like total how many Grabbers, Sprints, Stallions were ever produced?
I know you tell a Maverick Sprint by the RB on the interior portion of the door code tag. The Maverick Grabbers had a different vin #, didn't they? How do you tell if it is a Maverick Stallion, other than getting a Marti report? Jim
It crossed my mind that a Sprint would be expensive to clone due to the interior. Am I wrong? I say if you do a Sprint, you should make it a Spabber. (Sprint with Grabber hood, spoiler, and red/blue Grabber stripes. Good one! D-n-F front, Stallion paint scheme, Sprint colors, Grabber hood. What else can we throw on there? I know! Build it from a 4 door! Or from a Brazilian wagon conversion...
I like that white one. I think the blue one would look tough if the blue were more like grabber blue. It would jump out and grab you then like the red and yellow ones. I'm betting the white one is the most rare of them all though.
I would say that red Stallions are the most common followed by the silver and then yellow. I have only seen one picture of a blue and white Stallion.
When they were new, most of them were yellow or silver. Seems all that have been restored were another color, but painted red at that time. So now we see more red ones. I never saw another red one till the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals in 1982. Dan
