Im not askin for me just curious what everybody else thinks i much rather have the deluxe car then the plain jane grabber. And if the majority is saying they would rather have the deluxe car then the grabber wouldnt the deluxe bring more in resale value

everyone knows my opinion ,only a 71 -72 grabber is worth anything and like my two 71s there factory v8 cars with high back bucket delux interior and floor shift .My other two 69 s are 71-72 Grabber clones ,(y)

You would think, but this message board isn't the only market.
You guys know my opinion too. I LIKE ALL OF THEM.

I, like Ray, would have voted to keep both. :yup:

If you're building a Maverick for resale value, you're building the wrong car.

And if you're building it to enjoy, then just start with the car that's closer to what you want it to be in the end.

Overall, that's the best way to look at it. If you look at most of the people on this board, very few actually set out to find, and buy a Maverick or Comet, most found a cheap car and bought it, then found this site once they needed info.
I don't consider resale when I do anything to my cars, it's not why I do it, I do it because I enjoy it, not to sit at cruise night and tell everyone how good my car is, or to win trophies. That's kinda boring if you ask me, I don't even take a chair with me if I do go to cruise nights, I walk around the whole time looking at the other cars. I've like these cars since I was a kid, I've had Mustangs and other cars, the mavericks have always been there with the others, and I always go back to them.
Anyone can say whatever they want, and everyone has a different opinion.

I allready own a delux int plain jane with a stick and 302 so I picked the plain jane grabber since I dont have a grabber yet.Just need to get a comet GT and grabber and I will be happy.

These cars dont bring the money they should Grabber or not. Doesnt matter to me if its a real Grabber but everyone is different. I set out to find a factory 302 small bumper Grabber with AC. in good shape. Maybe next time.
Now that I think about it maybe the Grabber thing is a bigger deal to me than I realize. I intentionally didnt make my car a Grabber clone. HMMM wonder what that means. Anybody know a good shrink..???

Never mind now I remember. Its cause Larry is next door in Burlington with his Grabber Blue Mav/Grabber clone. We're the only 2 around here it'd be too weird if they looked identical. People mix up our cars as it is. I've been waved at by people in Burlington I've never seen before in my life. Luckily I'm nice and wave. I could get him in trouble and start giving them the bird.:rofl2:

Ive never owned a non Grabber 71-72 as for value... there was a original lime Green Grabber in California on ebay 3 years ago i think it fetched 12k ....Grabbers are starting to get some recognition. There was an low mileage 72 Grabber in last months hemmings muscle magazine and was stated that Grabbers are being recognized by collectors because of there scarcity... they will probably never fetch what a 69 Mach 1 will.... but theres a lot less Grabbers in the world than Mach 1's .... so i think Grabber values are going to increase in time.

I would like the car with the least amount of rust/dents. 93 vin means jack to me, the nice options in a plain car appeal to me, but I'm a plain jane, sleeper fan anyhoo.
