are you looking to buy a bunch in the U.S. and have them shipped to Brazil?

Hi Bryant, actually I was thinking about my own T5 first... Since in Brazil the taxes are calculated in Part Price + Shipping I think the T5 will be very expensive due to freight cost because of the weight!

I am thinking if I can purchase the many parts that make a T5 I can reduce the costs... the rebuild kits are easy, but I am not sure about the housings, clustergears and shafts

I'm currently using a 94 Cobra T5 with a steel front bearing retainer and short input shaft from the 93 Cobra because I needed the 86-93 bellhousing for header clearance. (the release fork on the 94 housing hit the header right in the collector on my 6901 Hookers) I went to this amount of trouble because I wanted the stronger Cobra T5 for the reasons Bryant stated. I picked it up from a friend for $250 and I wanted to use as many off the shelf parts as possible since mine is a daily driver. I did have to replace 3rd gear and all the blocking rings but I was in good shape otherwise.

As far as shipping parts to Brazil, I would think whatever you saved in weight spreading the pieces out would end up costing significantly more in markup for each piece and packaging than buying a single transmission and taking the weight penalty. I would also think there were better choices than a T5 if you had to go to that amount of trouble and expense to get one.
